On the wall of my studio hangs an old, faded colour wheel. Uncomplicated, yet containing all the mystery and magic of painting. As I write this, my many unfinished paintings beckon to me. Every day is a good day for painting. I strive to tell a simple yet enchanting story with each painting, through colour, depth, point of view and masterful execution.
When my signature, A.TEODOROWICZ, is finally painted on the finished canvas, I do so with deep pride.
No two are the same. With each new project I challenge myself, search deeper and continue improving technically. My favorite subjects are sometimes unconventional or ordinary moments in nature and some are grand and pompous, deserving a special treatment. I love it all. I love finding the new object of my desire, choosing the right canvas, the lenghty and often invisible process of underpainting, the sketching phase, choosing brushes, squeezing out copious amounts of paint and finally applying paint to create the magic of colour. When "We" hit a snag- a problem arises, my eyes instinctively turn to the old, faded colour wheel on the wall.
It has all the answers.
